Other recovery units are at risk of failure during direct liquid recovery when compressed liquid refrigerant can destroy their stemmed discharge valves or flexible piston seals. The technician often needs to throttle the inlet valve to restrict flow and protect the compressor. 

PlatinumPlus eliminates those problems by replacing the discharge poppet valve with a ball valve.  The ball creates a better seal and is essentially indestructible against heavy liquid flow.  Instead of a flexible piston seal "cup", we use a solid piston ring (see comparison below) which does not flex and is not at risk of blowing out during liquid recovery.

PlatinumPlus takes the need to meter liquid flow out of the technician's hands and automatically prevents compressor damage.  It is simply the most durable oil-less refrigerant recovery compressor in the field.  Still "Can't  Slug This"!
